One Team for the Outside of Your Home

Reflections of Charleston has cared for Lowcountry homes since 2008, and our home services division exists because the exterior of a coastal house never stays clean for long. Green film creeps up the north side of the siding, pollen yellows the porch every March, and a fine salt haze dulls the windows within weeks of a coastal storm.

Rather than juggling three contractors, you can hand the whole exterior to one locally owned team. We handle pressure washing and low-pressure soft washing for siding, roofs, concrete and decks; window cleaning inside and out, including screens, tracks and skylights; and interior and exterior painting backed by careful surface prep and color consultation.

Because one company does all three, the work happens in the right order. Siding is washed before it is painted. Windows are cleaned after the house wash, not before it. And when we find something that needs more than cleaning — soft trim, a failing threshold, a sagging porch step — our home repair team is part of the same company.

More than 4,000 clients across Charleston, Mount Pleasant, Daniel Island, Isle of Palms and Sullivan’s Island have trusted us with their homes. We’re licensed and insured, and we treat every property as if it were our own.

One Team for the Outside of Your Home

Exterior Cleaning in Charleston, SC, Service by Service

Each service has its own page explaining method, timing and what to expect. Start with the one your home needs most, or combine several in one visit.

Pressure Washing

A complete exterior cleaning program for siding, roofs, driveways, walkways, pavers and masonry. We match pressure and cleaning solution to each surface, so brick, concrete and painted fiber-cement siding each receive only the treatment they can safely handle.

Soft Washing & House Washing

Low-pressure washing for painted siding, cedar, stucco and other delicate finishes. A biodegradable cleaning solution does the work that high pressure would otherwise force, removing mildew, algae and salt film without stripping paint or raising the wood grain.

Window Cleaning

Interior and exterior glass on single- and multi-story homes, with screens, tracks and sills detailed by hand. We also clean skylights, custom architectural glass and the broad oceanfront panes that collect salt spray between visits.

Interior & Exterior Painting

Siding, shutters, doors, porches and full interiors, preceded by sanding, scraping, patching and priming. Color consultation with sample testing helps you choose a finish that suits the architecture and the way Lowcountry light falls on the house.

Commercial Exterior Care

The same crews serve apartment buildings, condominium associations, HOAs, medical and dental offices, retail and restaurants. Storefront glass, building washes and walkway cleaning can all be scheduled on a recurring basis for property managers and associations.

How it works

How a Home Services Visit Works

  1. Tell Us About the House

Call or send the estimate form with your address and what's bothering you — green siding, cloudy windows, peeling trim. A few photos help us arrive prepared.

  2. On-Site Assessment

We walk the property, note surface materials, landscaping and access, and flag anything that should be repaired before it is cleaned or painted.

  3. A Clear, Written Scope

You receive a free estimate listing each service, the surfaces included and the order in which we recommend doing the work.

  4. Careful, Tidy Work

Prompt, courteous crews protect plants and fixtures, work methodically, and review the finished job with you before they leave the property.

Why Reflections of Charleston

Why Charleston Homeowners Choose One Team for Exterior Care

A coastal house has many surfaces, each aging at its own pace. Coordinating them under one company means fewer appointments, consistent standards and a single team accountable for the whole result. Since 2008 we've built our reputation on that accountability, and it shows in more than 100 Google reviews from local homeowners.

Locally Owned Since 2008

Owner Ollie Thompson and Operations Manager Hayden Spresser work from our Mount Pleasant office, so decisions about your home are made here, by people who know the area.

Licensed and Insured

Every crew on your property is covered — which matters when ladders, water and an expensive coastal home come together on the same afternoon.

Methods Chosen by Material

Brick, cedar, glass and fresh paint all need different handling. We choose the method for the material rather than using one approach everywhere.

Suited to Second Homes

Owners who live elsewhere part of the year can arrange scheduled visits, keeping the house in order and ready for their return.

Questions & answers

Exterior Cleaning Questions from Charleston Homeowners

Most Lowcountry homes benefit from a house wash about once a year, and homes near the marsh, the beach or under heavy tree cover often need it sooner. Shaded north and east walls grow mildew fastest. Windows usually look best cleaned two to four times a year, particularly after spring pollen and after hurricane season. We'll suggest a schedule based on your home's exposure and how you use it.

Yes. Paint bonds poorly to mildew, chalky residue, pollen and salt film, so the exterior should be washed and allowed to dry before any scraping, priming or painting begins. If you book both services with us, we sequence the work: wash first, make any needed repairs, paint, and then clean the windows last to remove dust left from surface prep.

Yes, with sensible precautions. We soak plants with water before applying any cleaning solution, keep them wet during the work and rinse them afterward, and we use biodegradable products for soft washing. Please keep pets indoors until surfaces have been rinsed. Tell us about delicate plantings, vegetable gardens or fish ponds so we can cover or avoid them.

Usually not. For exterior cleaning we only need access to outdoor spigots, gates and the areas being cleaned. Interior window cleaning and interior painting do require someone to let the crew in. Many of our clients own second homes and arrange access through a property manager, neighbor or lockbox, which works well for us.

The size and height of the home, the surfaces involved, how much growth or staining has built up, access around landscaping and water, and how many services you combine all play a part. A three-story raised beach house with screened porches on every level is a different job from a single-story brick ranch. We provide a free written estimate after seeing the property.

Yes. Older homes on the Charleston peninsula and in Mount Pleasant's Old Village often have original wood, soft brick and old glass that need a gentle hand. Routine cleaning isn't typically the kind of work design review governs, but exterior color changes on historic properties may need approval, and we can help you prepare for that conversation before painting.
